The servo motor‑driven hydraulic pump saves over 30% energy compared to conventional systems, offers fast response, and achieves pressure control accuracy of ±0.5 bar.
3. Uniform Heating System
Options: thermal oil / electric / steam heating. The hot press plates are precision‑ground, with a surface temperature difference ≤ ±2°C, ensuring even heat distribution across each board, reducing warping and delamination.
4. Heavy‑Duty Structure
One‑piece welded or pre‑stressed frame ensures high rigidity and fatigue resistance, suitable for high‑frequency, high‑pressure continuous operation.
5. Multiple Safety Protections
Equipped with light curtains, emergency stop, overpressure alarm, overload protection, etc., meeting CE standards.

Component | Function Description |
1. Frame | One-piece welded or pre stressed frame, withstands high pressure for long-term stability. |
2. Hot press plate set | Multi-layer precision-ground steel plates with internal heating channels, for uniform heat and pressure transmission. |
3. Hydraulic system | Main cylinders, auxiliary cylinders, hydraulic power unit (servo motor + pump), tank, valves – provides pressing force. |
4. Heating system | Optional thermal oil heater, electric heating tubes, or steam boiler – circulates medium to heat the plates. |
5. Control system | PLC touch screen + temperature module + pressure sensors – fully automatic program control (heating, pressing, holding, releasing). |
6. Loading/unloading system | Automatic loading cart or roller conveyor (optional) – fast feeding and product discharging. |

The working principle of the fully automatic plywood hot press is based on precise control of three elements: “Heat + Pressure + Time”. The process steps are as follows:
1. Loading stage
The automatic loading cart or roller conveyor feeds the glued and stacked veneers (plies + adhesive) between each layer of the hot press plates.
2. Heating stage
The heating system (thermal oil/electric/steam) preheats the press plates to the set temperature (e.g. 120–180°C). The temperature control module maintains a plate surface difference ≤ ±2°C.
3. Pressing stage
The PLC sends a command, and the hydraulic system drives the main cylinder to push the plate set upward, applying the set pressure (specific pressure: 10–25 kg/cm²).
The servo hydraulic system allows staged pressing: low pressure for air venting → medium pressure for closing → high pressure for final pressing.
4. Holding stage
Temperature and pressure are maintained for a certain time (typically 3–15 minutes, depending on board thickness and adhesive type), allowing the adhesive to fully cure and the board to become dense.
5. Pressure release & cooling
After holding, the hydraulic system releases pressure. An optional cooling system can rapidly reduce temperature to prevent bubbling or warping.
6. Unloading stage
The automatic unloading device removes the finished plywood sheets from between the hot plates and sends them to stacking or the next process.
7. Cycle control
The PLC records the temperature, pressure, and time curves of the entire cycle and automatically starts the next working cycle. Daily output reaches 500 sheets (based on an 8‑hour shift).
