Working Principle
The log requires no centering or drilling – it is directly placed between the main drive roller and the pressing roller. The pressing roller holds the log against the drive roller, and the variable frequency drive motor rotates the rollers, driving the log to rotate by friction.
Working principle of the servo control system: The operator sets the target veneer thickness on the touch screen. The PLC sends commands to the servo driver, and the servo motor rotates the ball screw, driving the knife carriage to move precisely along the linear guide, positioning the blade at the exact knife gap position. Throughout the peeling process, a high-precision encoder provides real-time feedback of the knife carriage position, forming a closed-loop control system that ensures the knife gap always matches the set thickness. As the log diameter decreases, the servo system automatically adjusts the feed amount to maintain constant veneer thickness.
The peeled veneer is discharged via the conveyor and automatically wound or stacked. When the log is peeled down to the minimum diameter, the machine automatically stops.
