How To Calculate Plywood Hot Press Machine Output

When a hot press produces a product of a certain specification, the formula for calculating the productivity is as follows:

Qi= (meter 3/class)

Remark:

T=7.5*60

N=20

m=1

K=0.97

Z2=40 seconds

In the formula: 

T——shift working time (7.5*60 minutes)

N——The number of working intervals of the hot press machine     

m - the number of plywood sheets pressed in each interval

δ——Finished thickness of plywood (m)

Fo - the width of the finished plywood (m²)

K——The working time utilization coefficient of the hot press K=0.97~0.98

Z1——The holding time of the plywood in the press (the design is based on the thickness of the finished product per millimeter, and the pressure is calculated for 1 minute) (minutes)

Z2——Auxiliary operation time (minutes): This item includes the time required for the closing and boosting of the loading and unloading press. When manually loading and unloading the plate, the Z2 value needs to be measured on site, and when using mechanical loading and unloading, take Z2=40 seconds.

The second:

7.5*60*20*1*0.005*1.22*2.44*0.97/(5+40/60)=22.917m³/per shift

The third:

7.5*60*20*1*0.003*0.915*1.83*0.97/(3+40/60)=11.949m³/per shift

Fourth:

7.5*60*20*1*0.005*0.915*1.83*0.97/(5+40/60)=12.891m³/per shift

Fifth:

7.5*60*20*1*0.003*1.22*2.44*0.97/(3+40/60)=21.243m³/per shift

Sixth:

7.5*60*20*1*0.005*1.22*2.44*0.97/(5+40/60)=22.917m³/per shift

Seventh:

7.5*60*20*1*0.003*0.915*1.83*0.97/(3+40/60)=11.949m³/per shift

Eighth type:

7.5*60*20*1*0.005*0.915*1.83*0.97/(5+40/60)=12.891m³/per shift

Weighted Average Productivity:

Qcp=(m3/class)

In the formula: Qcp------the weighted average productivity of the heat press (m³/per shift)

a1,a2……ai-----the percentage of products of various specifications in the total output

Q1,Q2,…Qi-----the productivity of the hot press when producing a certain product alone (m3/shift)

Qcp=100/(34.3/21.243+ 14.7/22.917+14.7/11.949+6.3/12.891+14.7/21.243+

6.3/22.917+6.3/11.949+2.7/12.891)= 17.6099 (m³/per shift)

The annual output Qy of the hot press is calculated as follows:

Qy=Qcp*working shifts per day*year working days (m3/shift)

Qy=17.6099*2*280=9861.544 (m³/per shift)

Select the heat press model according to the annual output:

Given annual output: 20,000 m³

Considering the load factor of the heat press: 95%

Then the annual production capacity of the hot press is: 20,000 m³/95%

Required number of layers of hot press: 20,000 m³/95%/Qy=20000/0.95/9861.544=2.13
