Prior to this project, Longsen Wood had established a solid market presence and production capacity. However, facing increasingly fierce market competition and escalating demands for environmental compliance and efficiency, the company urgently needed to upgrade its core equipment and production capabilities to secure greater growth opportunities. The 150,000 m³/year particleboard project represented a critical strategic move to break through bottlenecks and achieve industrial upgrading.



II. The Context of Caoxian's Wood-Based Panel Industry (Circa 2017)  


At that time, Caoxian was already one of China's renowned wood-based panel industry clusters, particularly strong in plywood and MDF production. The backdrop featured:


  Large Scale but Pressing Need for Upgrade: The industry enjoyed significant scale advantages, but many small and medium-sized enterprises operated relatively outdated equipment. Homogeneous product competition was intense, squeezing profit margins.

 Mounting Environmental Pressure: National and local environmental policies were becoming increasingly stringent. A major crackdown on "scattered, disorderly, and polluting" enterprises was underway, forcing companies to transition towards cleaner production and high-efficiency equipment.

  Market Demand for Quality Particleboard: The booming markets for customized furniture and panel furniture were driving surging demand for stable-performance, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective high-quality particleboard, creating new opportunities for capable enterprises.

  Wave of Industrial Upgrading: Leading players within the industry were taking the initiative, introducing advanced continuous press lines to enhance automation and intelligence levels, acting as pioneers in regional industrial upgrading.



It was against this backdrop that Longsen Wood, keenly attuned to market shifts, resolved to invest in a modern particleboard production line to capture market share with high-quality products.



III. The 150,000 m³/year Particleboard Project: Longsen's Defining Leap  


This project was a milestone in Longsen Wood's development:

  Core Objective: To build a technologically advanced, energy-efficient, environmentally compliant continuous press particleboard production line with an annual capacity of 150,000 cubic meters.

  Product Positioning: Targeting mid-to-high-end furniture manufacturing, customized home furnishing, and decoration sectors. The line would produce particleboard with a wide thickness range (e.g., 6mm-40mm), diverse specifications, and excellent performance characteristics (such as superior MOR, IB strength, and low formaldehyde emission).

  Core Equipment: The heart of the project lay in introducing advanced continuous press equipment and its complete supporting production line – the key to achieving large-scale, high-efficiency, high-quality, and stable production.



From 2015 to 2017, in the newly - built particleboard projects in China, the projects with an annual production capacity ranging from 80,000 to 150,000 cubic meters accounted for 41% - 48%, which is considered an "advanced configuration" in China.



2017 when Longsen's project was launched, the 150,000 m³/year particleboard line represented a forward-looking choice. Industry data showed that mid-range capacity lines (80,000-150,000 m³) accounted for approximately 45% of new global projects at that time (EUMABOIS 2017), becoming the preferred solution for regional leaders in emerging markets. Shandong Minghung's delivery of this advanced continuous press line positioned Longsen Wood in the top 20% of China's technologically advanced producers."

2.  Precision Manufacturing & Strict Quality Control (Demonstrating Capability)

      Upon solution finalization, Minghung leveraged its modern manufacturing base and mature supply chain to organize the production of core equipment (continuous press, forming station, energy center) and supporting components, strictly adhering to technical agreements and international standards.

      A rigorous quality control system implemented throughout the manufacturing process ensured every machine and component met design specifications for accuracy and performance, guaranteeing hardware reliability.


3.  Efficient Installation & Meticulous Commissioning (On-Site Execution)

      Dedicated On-Site Team: Minghung dispatched an experienced project manager leading a technical service team comprising mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineers to reside long-term at the Longsen project site.

      Organized Installation: The team meticulously planned the installation sequence, efficiently advancing equipment placement, piping, and electrical work while overcoming challenges like site coordination and overlapping tasks.

      Precision Commissioning: This was the most critical phase. Minghung's team led the entire commissioning process from individual machine tests to full-line synchronization:

          Precise calibration of the continuous press's temperature profile, pressure profile, and speed synchronization.

          Optimization of mat formation uniformity and pre-pressing effect.

          Fine-tuning of core process parameters for drying, gluing, and hot pressing.

          Integration and testing of the complete automated control system (PLC/DCS) to ensure coordinated equipment operation and accurate data monitoring.

      Trial Production & Optimization: Following commissioning, trial production commenced. Minghung's process engineers provided continuous guidance, meticulously adjusting equipment parameters and resin formulations based on the quality of the actual output (e.g., thickness tolerance, density distribution, mechanical properties, surface appearance) until product quality consistently met design standards (e.g., compliance with E1/E0 formaldehyde emission levels, achieving target physical/mechanical properties) and stable output reached the designed annual capacity of 150,000 cubic meters.
